Greenhouse Construction Tutorial. How to JDPShack.
John Pandrea
Greenhouse construction tutorial, Introduction
A unique, lightweight backyard size greenhouse that looks good, complete and turn key tight. It will add value to any residence. Made of common parts which can be found at most hardware stores and/or greenhouse supply stores. Construction can be completed with common tools. It can be built in 3-7 days depending on individual pace of operation. And, with a lot of options.
Most of my adult life has been spent constructing various types of buildings, including a lot of large greenhouses. I created a much smaller version of the larger greenhouse. A cost effective, fit in your back yard size, lightweight, green house type structure. Simple, efficient, tight and complete. And, with lots of options.
First, I searched for common parts that could be used to build it. Then, I designed and developed this unique, strong, and very cost effective little building, (“JDPShack”). I have built several, in various configurations;,e.g., greenhouse, shed, carport. People love this little building.
Why JDPShack?
This technology could help people. I want to share it. That is why I made this website.
Greenhouse construction, unique design.
JDPShack is a warm weather concept. A cold weather configuration for northerly latitudes and high elevations is in the works. That info will be shared on the options page as it becomes available.
This website includes, construction PLANS, a parts list, a tools needed list, and complete construction directions, including step by step directions with illustrations. It’s FREE information. Check it out. And, an options page. Because there are many different ways JDPShack greenhouse can be configured. lots of options.
NOTE; The options page will be updated regularly.
My tutorial is based on constructing a 14 ft. wide by 20 ft. long by 9 ft. tall at the peak structure. However, it can be built 12ft. wide, or up to 14ft. wide. And, as small as 4ft. long, and up to 100ft. long. It can be built as short as around 7 ft. tall at the peak. OR, up to around 9 ft. tall at the peak. See options page.
Learn how to costume size a JDPShack on the options page.
